06/16/08 - "Disappearing Dwarfs"

Our summer mission trip to the Arkansas Delta town of Eudora will take place August 4th-9th. This will be our second trip to Eudora after two previous trips to Dermott and one to Lake Village. Just like last year we will help Gloryland Family Fellowship with their ongoing outreach to the community, help lead vacation bible school, assist with afternoon lunches, and conduct a Friday afternoon football camp. Read more...

June 29th Concert @ SBC in NLR

Everyone is invited to a very special concert at 47th Street Baptist Church Sunday evening, June 29th at 6pm. This will be more than just a boring Matt Mosler show. Ben & Cody are helping me produce an evening of praise and worship, teaching and celebration. Travis & Becca will be playing in the band along with Ben & Cody and will even help lead a few numbers. I’ll also be singing duets with Maddi & Camille. Admission will be as many canned food items as you can bring to help stock the food pantry in Eudora. A love offering will also be taken.

Fishers of Men

For the second year in a row I was asked to be the devotional speaker at Benton First Assembly of God’s Men’s Retreat and it couldn’t have been more fun. Last year, in their inaugural effort 24 men made the trip to Crystal Springs Resort on beautiful Lake Ouachita. Read more...

2008 Elk Hunt

Believe it or not October is not too far away and our 2008 elk hunt is already filling up fast. This year we’ll limit the size of our group to only six hunters plus staff which should keep it more personal but since this is one of our most popular events we’ll more than likely expand to two elk hunts to handle the demand. This year’s elk season is Oct. 18-26th. Depending upon your group plan on leaving a day or two before the hunt and returning a day or two following. If you’re interested or have questions contact me ASAP or send in your $150 deposit to reserve your space. You can also find more information about Colorado and their elk here.

Hope 4 Hannah

It’s been rumored for months but now it looks like our Hope 4 Hannah home WILL be completed by the end of the month and the home is beautiful! I can’t thank enough all of the volunteers, businesses and professionals who have been so generous with their time, materials and talents. Hannah is also doing so well! Stay tuned for further updates on the web site.

Opportunities to Serve

Thank you to those who called and/or e-mailed looking to help out with our ministry. It looks like we have filled our administrative assistant position and our web master post. This will be a huge help to us in the coming year. And while we got very close to filling our Assistant Director’s position it is still open. Once again, here is the description:

Assistant Ministry Director: I need a man who can take a vision or idea and make it happen. This man must be an organizer, manager, prayer and study partner, developer, and motivator. He will be responsible for coordinating our various ministries. This will be a paid position. Click Here for a complete job description and contact me for more information.
